Behind the scenes

A visit behind the theatrical scenes can be an unforgettable adventure for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or interests. Tours through the theater provide a unique opportunity to stand on one of the largest opera stages in the country and Europe, to feel the thrill of emotions experienced by artists - artists of the greatest fame such as Renato Bruson, Placido Domingo, Boris Ejfman, Alicia Alonso, Kiri Te Kanawa. In the world behind the theater scenes, there are many paths worth discovering.

The current technical building has an area of 5,294 m2, housing the costume warehouse, which is our largest wardrobe containing over 55,000 costumes, a painting studio covering an area like 2.5 volleyball courts, a tailoring workshop, a sewing workshop, and the tour will also include a wig-making studio and a representative foyer with its Venetian mirrors.

  • Number of participants: 10-25 people.
  • Price per participant: PLN 15 or PLN 10 in the case of participating in the 'Closer to Teatr Wielki in Łódź' campaign (guardians of the group attend for free).
  • Tours take place exclusively from Monday to Friday, lasting approximately 1.5 hours.
  • The tours are conducted by Ewa Kowalska-Brodek.
