First stage (behind a screen)
 

1. W.A. Mozart – violin concerto (the excerpt including cadenza) to choose from: no. 3 G-dur KV 216, no. 4 D-dur KV 218 or no. 5 A-dur KV 219;
2. J.S. Bach – one part from either Sonata or Partita for violin solo
3. Orchestra excerpts indicated by the jury

 
Second stage (open)
 

1. An excerpt of 19^th or 20^th Century violin concerto (including cadenza)
2. Orchestra excerpts indicated by the jury
3. Sight-reading

 
For Second Violin:
Time: 9.01.2019, 12:00 (the audition for Second Violin will be held right after the First Violin audition)
Venue: the Lodz Grand Theatre, Plac Dabrowskiego 90-249 Lodz, the entrance on Jaracza street – the Orchestra Rehearsal Hall.
Applications to be received by February 6th, 2019 for the following address: przesluchania@teatr wielki.lodz.pl with a note “II SKRZYPCE – PRZESŁUCHANIE”.
The application should include a Curriculum Vitae with contact details and personal data protecting clause as well.

Lodz Grand Theater does not cover neither travel nor accommodation expenses.
The order of applicants’ performances will be determined randomly.
An accompanist is not provided by the Theatre.

By joining the audition, applicants give their consent for recording their performances.
The Management of the Lodz Grand Theatre reserves the right to cancel the audition without further clarification or to refrain from determining the winner if none of the applicants would not meet the jury’s expectations.
