On 10 October 2017, before the performance NABUCCO by Giuseppe Verdi on the stage of Lodz Grand Theatre the results of the International Opera Composition Competition THE MAN FROM MANUFAKTURA have been announced. The jury decided that the Grand Prix and the cash prize of PLN 45,000 (30,000 as the first prize and 15,000 for composing the second act of the opera) goes to Rafał Janiak. The second prize and the cash prize of PLN 15,000 goes to Katarzyna Brochocka.
During the final concert at Lodz Grand Theatre, also the audience voted for the best composition. There have been 380 valid votes cast. The Audience Award goes to Rafał Janiak.
