Soloists

He began his vocal career in 1982, winning first place in the Vocal Competition organized by the Academy of Music in Łódź. In 1988, he graduated from the Vocal and Acting Department of this academy in Professor Adam Duliński's class, earning a diploma with a very good result.

 

Even during his studies, he performed in premieres at the Grand Theatre in Łódź, including roles like Damazy in Stanisław Moniuszko's "Straszny dwór," Bojomir in Karol Kurpiński's "Zamek na Czorsztynie," and in the title role of the Director in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera. In 1988, he joined the Opera and Operetta in Szczecin and was a leading soloist there until 1992. In 1992, he returned to his hometown and became the first tenor of the Musical Theatre in Łódź.

 

His significant operetta roles include Edwin in "Księżniczka czardasza," Su-Czong in "Kraina uśmiechu," Tassilo in "Hrabina Marica," Barinkay in "Baron cygański," Alfred in "Zemsta nietoperza," Camille in "Wesoła wdówka," and other leading roles in operettas such as Fred Raymond's "Błękitna maska," Oscar Nedbal's "Polska krew," Yuri Milutin's "Popłoch wśród dziewcząt," and Paula Ábrahám's "Wiktoria i jej huzar." In 1994, he was offered the role of Alfred in Giuseppe Verdi's opera "Traviata" at the Grand Theatre in Poznań. After the premiere, he was a soloist at that venue for a year. In 1995, he permanently joined the Grand Theatre in Łódź, where he has been a soloist ever since.

 

He participated in all the major international tours with the theaters he collaborated with, performing on the most important musical stages in Europe, including Berlin, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Munich, Zurich, Salzburg, Brussels, and Amsterdam. He took part in numerous music festivals, including those in Krynica, Kudowa, and Ciechocinek.

 

In his operatic repertoire, you can find roles such as Tamino in "Czarodziejski flet," Ismael in "Nabucco," Macduff/Malcolm in "Makbet," Dr. Cajus in "Falstaff," Leński in "Eugeniusz Oniegin," Janek in "Janek," Damazy in "Straszny dwór," Góral in "Halka," the title role in Ludomir Różycki's "Casanova," or Opat di Chazeuil in "Adriana Lecouvreur."
