FOR TICKET RESERVATION AND SALES
AT TEATR WIELKI IN ŁÓDŹ

These Regulations specify the rules for the sale of tickets for events taking place at Teatr Wielki in Łódź.
§ 1
RULES FOR TICKET RESERVATION
Purchasing a ticket for Teatr Wielki in Łódź is equivalent to accepting the "Regulations for Ticket Reservation and Sales at Teatr Wielki in Łódź" and the "Audience Regulations of Teatr Wielki in Łódź".
The theater reserves the right to make changes to the repertoire or cast of a performance. Information about changes will be announced on the theater's website at www.operalodz.pl.
Individual ticket reservations can be made in person or by phone at the theater box office or at the Theater’s Audience and Promotion Office (hereinafter referred to as "BOW").
The ticket offices are located at the theater's address: Dąbrowski Square, 90-249 Łódź.
The Audience and Promotion Office is located at the theater's address – entrance from Dąbrowski Square.
The current opening hours of the Ticket Offices and BOW are available on the website operalodz.pl.
Reservations can be accepted after obtaining the following information from the person making the reservation:
• Name and surname of the person making the reservation,
• Contact phone number,
• Type of ticket being reserved.
Individually reserved tickets must be paid for and collected no later than 7 days after making the reservation, but not later than five calendar days before the event for which the ticket is reserved. After this period, the reservation will be canceled.
Individually reserved tickets made later than five calendar days before the event must be paid for and collected on the day of reservation by the end of the ticket office's working hours on that day.
The Teatr Wielki in Łódź employee making the reservation is obliged to provide the reserver with the event date, time, and place, reservation number, price, and ticket collection deadline.
Group ticket reservations require a written order (confirmation) from the purchaser - submitted in person, sent by traditional mail, or emailed to the Theater's Audience and Promotion Office (widz@teatr-wielki.lodz.pl).
The written order should include the following information:
• Name, address, and contact phone number of the entity/institution/company on behalf of which the reservation is made,
• Name and surname of the person placing the order,
• Event time, date, and title,
• Type, number, price, and value of the ordered tickets,
• Payment method,
• Method of ticket collection,
• Tax Identification Number (NIP) of the ordering party in case a VAT invoice is required and payment is made by bank transfer,
• Signature of the person authorized to represent the entity on whose behalf the reservation is made and to incur financial obligations on its behalf.
Reserved group tickets must be paid for no later than 21 days after making the reservation, but not later than 7 calendar days before the event, and for premiere events - not later than 14 calendar days before the event. After this period, the reservation will be canceled.
Teatr Wielki in Łódź reserves the right to change the ticket collection deadline for individual events. In such a case, the theater employee making the reservation is obliged to inform the reserver about the changed ticket collection deadline.
§ 2
TICKET SALES
Ticket sales at Teatr Wielki in Łódź are conducted at the ticket offices located at the theater’s premises – entrance from Dąbrowski Square, open during the following times:
- Monday to Saturday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM,
- Sundays and holidays – when a performance is scheduled: from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM or at a location where the theater provides such an opportunity.
Information about current changes in ticket office hours is posted on the theater’s website: www.operalodz.com.
Payment for purchased tickets can be made in cash, by bank transfer, or by credit card.
It is possible to issue a VAT invoice at the explicit request of the customers for tickets purchased at the theater’s ticket office. This should be communicated to the ticket office staff before the sales receipt is printed, providing the buyer’s Tax Identification Number (NIP) and other necessary information for issuing the invoice.
In case of a performance/concert cancellation, the theater will refund the cost of purchased tickets.
In addition to the theater's ticket offices, tickets are also sold online through the portal www.bilety24.pl. The online ticket sales are regulated by the terms and conditions of the portal www.bilety24.pl.
Teatr Wielki in Łódź reserves the right to make changes in ticket pricing. Changes will not affect the prices of tickets that have already been purchased.
Teatr Wielki in Łódź reserves the right to reserve and sell tickets for selected events under special promotional prices, individually determined.
The rules for ticket reservation and sales for events organized at Teatr Wielki in Łódź by other external entities (so-called external events) are determined individually by the event organizer.
Reserved and paid-for tickets via bank transfer can be collected at the theater’s ticket office up to the day of the event. For the comfort of the audience, please collect them no later than half an hour before the event starts. The theater does not send or deliver tickets.
In the event of circumstances beyond the control of Teatr Wielki in Łódź, the theater reserves the right to change the venue, program, performers, as well as dates of concerts/performances/artistic events. Information about any changes will be posted on the theater’s website: www.operalodz.com.
The following types of tickets are available at Teatr Wielki in Łódź:
12.1. **Regular Ticket** - ticket prices are set before each season based on separate regulations issued by the director of Teatr Wielki in Łódź.
12.2. **Discounted Ticket** - ticket prices are set before each season based on separate regulations issued by the director of Teatr Wielki in Łódź. Discounted tickets are available for:
- Elementary and secondary school students, and students of post-secondary schools with a valid school ID (excluding premieres, special events, and external events),
- Undergraduate and graduate students up to 26 years old with a valid student ID (excluding premieres, special events, and external events),
- Pensioners and retirees with a document confirming receipt of benefits along with an ID (excluding premieres, special events, and external events),
- Persons with a certified disability,
- Caregivers of persons in wheelchairs,
- Honorary Blood Donors, with an HDK ID,
- Bone marrow donors, with a “Transplant Donor” badge or ID,
- Teachers of artistic education, with an employment certificate in an artistic institution,
- Persons awarded the "Meritorious for Polish Culture" medal or the "Gloria Artis" medal,
- Employees of other theaters with a theater employment ID.
12.3. **Family Ticket for Holders of the Multi-Child Family Card** - Teatr Wielki in Łódź honors the Provincial Multi-Child Family Card. The cardholder can purchase one ticket with a 50% discount off the regular ticket price. This discount does not apply to premiere performances, special events, and external events organized at Teatr Wielki in Łódź. The theater’s ticket office is required to record the card numbers used to purchase discounted tickets.
12.4. **Tickets for Participants in the "Closer to Teatr Wielki" Campaign (hereinafter "Campaign")** - available to groups of students from schools that have signed a declaration to join the Campaign. These tickets are sold for selected performances by Teatr Wielki in Łódź in a specified audience zone. Their number is limited and determined by the theater. The price of Campaign tickets is set based on separate regulations issued by the director of Teatr Wielki in Łódź. The director may decide to sell Campaign tickets in other audience zones and for special performances (events). School groups are entitled to one free ticket for a supervisor (one supervisor for every 15 students).
12.5. **Premiere Season Tickets** - discounted tickets for premiere performances - ticket prices for each calendar year are set based on separate regulations issued by the director of Teatr Wielki in Łódź. The season ticket covers premiere performances on specified dates and entitles the holder to a designated seat in the audience. The season ticket's validity expires after the planned premieres for the season have been realized, which may be carried over to the following year (season) by the director's decision. An unused season ticket /for reasons not attributable to the theater/ does not entitle the holder to a refund.
12.6. **Free Ticket – Supervision** - one free ticket for a group supervisor (one supervisor for every 15 students). For groups from integration schools, one free ticket for a supervisor (one supervisor for every 10 students). The following are entitled to free tickets:
- Supervisors of student groups from schools that have signed a declaration to join the "Closer to Teatr Wielki" campaign,
- Supervisors of student groups from integration schools,
- Organized groups where participants have a disability.
12.7. The director of Teatr Wielki in Łódź may, in individual cases, decide to grant "free tickets – supervision" for groups of children and youth from emergency shelters and children's homes.
12.8. **Special Gold Ticket** - a ticket with a normal ticket price in Zone I (according to the price list for the event), plus an additional PLN 60, entitling the holder to refreshments during the event's intermission in the VIP lounge located on the second floor of the theater.
12.8.1. To use the privileges of the special gold ticket, the ticket must be presented to the VIP lounge staff each time (located on the second floor of the theater). In case of loss, the privileges associated with the special gold ticket cannot be utilized.
12.8.2. The special gold ticket can be purchased like any other ticket for Teatr Wielki in Łódź.
12.8.3. The special gold ticket is not subject to promotions or discounts.
12.8.4. The special gold ticket does not apply to external events.
12.8.5. If the holder of the special gold ticket does not use the entitled privileges, they are not entitled to a refund.
12.9. **Group Ticket** - when purchasing a minimum of 15 tickets, a 20% discount applies. Group tickets can be purchased in any zone, with the applicable discount from the normal or discounted ticket price.
The accepted rules for discounts and prices for the theater’s performances do not apply to external events.
§ 3
TICKET RETURNS
Refunds are available for individual or group tickets purchased at the ticket office for events organized by Teatr Wielki in Łódź.
To process a refund at the theater's ticket office, it is necessary to present the receipt or VAT invoice related to the returned tickets.
Individual tickets purchased at the ticket office can be returned no later than five calendar days before the event, excluding the event date.
Individual tickets purchased online through the portal www.bilety24.pl are non-refundable.
For the cancellation of external events, ticket refunds will be made based on the presented ticket along with the fiscal receipt exclusively for tickets purchased at the ticket offices of Teatr Wielki in Łódź.
§ 4
INFORMATION FOR AUDIENCE MEMBERS WITH DISABILITIES
Teatr Wielki is accessible for individuals using wheelchairs.
The wheelchair ramp is located on the east side of the theater, with the entrance from Dąbrowski Square.
Teatr Wielki in Łódź is equipped with a passenger elevator (interior dimensions: 109x140x210 cm, clear dimensions between handrails installed in the cabin at a height of 90 cm: 91x132 cm, load capacity 630 kg) adapted for wheelchairs.
Due to the technical specifications of the audience area and safety reasons, the wheelchair space is designated in the area between the stalls and the amphitheater. It is not possible to drive and park a wheelchair by the row in the audience (stalls, amphitheater, boxes, balcony).
Due to technical conditions, the number of seats in the audience, including seats for viewers using wheelchairs, is limited.
The theater offers reservations for special seats in the audience designated for individuals using wheelchairs. Reservations can be made by phone at the Theater Audience Services and Promotion Office at least 3 days before the event.
For technical and safety reasons, the theater reserves the right to disable or limit seats for individuals using wheelchairs for selected events.
§ 5
INFORMATION FOR BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED VIEWERS AND PERSONS WITH MOBILITY DISABILITIES REQUIRING ASSISTANCE DOGS
The theater provides assistance to blind and visually impaired individuals in navigating the theater. To ensure the best possible service during events, please contact the Audience Service Department in advance by phone at 42 633 31 86 or by email at widz@teatr-wielki.lodz.pl.
In accordance with Article 20a, section 1, point 1 of the Act of August 27, 1997, on the vocational and social rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities (Journal of Laws 2023.100, consolidated text of January 13, 2023), the theater permits entry to events for persons with disabilities accompanied by an assistance dog.
The condition for entry with an assistance dog is that the dog must be equipped with a harness and the person with a disability must possess a certificate confirming the dog's status as an assistance dog and proof of required veterinary vaccinations.
The person with a disability is responsible for any damage caused by the assistance dog.
The person with a disability is not required to muzzle the assistance dog or keep it on a leash.
If the assistance dog disrupts the event, theater staff may request that the person with the dog control the animal, and, in extreme cases, may ask them to leave the theater without the possibility of a ticket refund.
Persons using an assistance dog for events incur no additional charges related to the presence of the dog.
If a ticket is purchased for a location that does not allow the assistance dog to stay next to the person with a disability, theater staff may request a change of seating to ensure the comfort of both the viewer with the dog and other patrons.
§ 6
INFORMATION CLAUSE ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
In consideration of proper processing of personal data, Teatr Wielki in Łódź adheres to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter: "GDPR"), especially Articles 13-15 GDPR. We inform you of the following:
The administrator of your data is Teatr Wielki in Łódź, located at plac Dąbrowskiego, 90-249 Łódź.
You can contact the data administrator via email at teatr@teatr-wielki.lodz.pl.
The administrator has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who can be contacted by phone at +48 42 630 13 51 or via email at iod@teatr-wielki.lodz.pl.
You can contact the DPO regarding all matters related to the processing of personal data and the exercise of rights associated with data processing.
Providing personal data is voluntary. If you do not provide the data indicated in the content of the Regulations, the Theater will not be able to make a ticket reservation.
Your data will be processed:
- To perform a contract to which the data subject is a party, or to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract, based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Under this basis, the Administrator processes personal data to ensure the possibility of ticket reservations and to contact individuals who reserve or purchase tickets.
- To fulfill legal obligations incumbent on the Administrator, based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- For purposes resulting from legitimate interests pursued by the Administrator, based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. These interests of the Administrator are related to the necessity of taking actions connected with its operations, particularly in organizing events (concerts, artistic events).
- To prevent, combat, and especially prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other infectious diseases, based on Article 6(1)(e) in conjunction with Article 9(2)(i) GDPR.
Recipients of your personal data will be theater employees within the scope of their official duties, based on the authorization granted to them. Personal data may also be transferred to entities supporting the Administrator in providing services, provided that such entities process the data based on agreements concluded with the Administrator and exclusively according to the Administrator’s instructions.
Personal data will not be transferred to a third country or international organization.
Your personal data will be processed:
- For the duration of the legitimate interests of the Administrator unless you object to the processing of the data (in accordance with Article 21 GDPR).
- For the time necessary to fully realize all obligations related to the purposes of processing your data (including, among others, the expiration of claims by public/tax authorities).
We kindly inform you that you have the following rights concerning the processing of your personal data by Teatr Wielki in Łódź:
- The right to request access to your personal data from the Administrator;
- The right to rectify data;
- The right to delete data;
- The right to limit processing;
- The right to data portability (if technically possible);
- The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (the President of the Personal Data Protection Office) regarding the processing of personal data by the Administrator.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time if the processing is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out based on consent before its withdrawal. You can withdraw consent by sending an appropriate email to teatr@teatr-wielki.lodz.pl.
We assure you that Teatr Wielki in Łódź makes every effort to ensure all physical, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal data from accidental or intentional destruction, accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, use, or access, in compliance with all applicable legal regulations.
Teatr Wielki in Łódź informs that during performances, concerts, and other artistic and educational events, as well as during breaks and before and after the aforementioned events, video materials documenting the statutory activities of the Theater may be recorded and subsequently used for archival purposes, as well as for promotion and information about the Theater’s activities.
Participation in performances, concerts, and other artistic and educational events organized by Teatr Wielki in Łódź is tantamount to consenting to the recording of the image and the free dissemination of the image recorded during the aforementioned events on the website, social media, VOD platforms, and in other promotional materials of Teatr Wielki in Łódź and third parties to document and disseminate information about the cultural and educational activities conducted by Teatr Wielki in Łódź and its promotion.
Teatr Wielki in Łódź is authorized to record the course of performances, concerts, and other artistic and educational events organized by the Theater using image and sound recording devices.
