CRAZY DAY WITH FIGARO
It's hard to compare the musical genius of character portrayal, the mastery of ensembles, the accuracy of comedic solutions, and the content of the musical-theatrical progress creating an atmosphere of effervescent joy, moving beauty, diverse moods, and a sense of all-encompassing happiness with anything else.
In the words of Sławomir Pietras, we invite you to meet Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Marriage of Figaro - a comedic opera gem that entertains and educates, surprises and provokes thought - without unnecessary moralizing, with a wink, grace, and lightness. The subtitle Crazy Day, in a musical-vocal and scenic rendition, thanks to the convoluted but harmless love intrigues full of ingenuity of the characters - truly becomes a crazy day. Each of them has "their" matters to attend to and in various - often quite imaginative - ways tries to accomplish them, realize emotional plans, achieve what seems impossible. And yet... everything leads to a happy ending; in the company of masterful music - full of wit and finesse, witty and moving.
After the Viennese premiere, cries of Bravo, bravo maestro! Long live, long live the great Mozart! were heard. Both the master and his work fully deserved it, as we can see today.
Crazy day... Professor Zygmunt Latoszewski adds: Indeed; but in the best sense of these words! And, indeed, the Professor is right - you will be able to see it during the performance.
We invite you to meet the great Mozart and his magnificent work.
