We are all part of the unprecedented and important event in the history of the Lodz Grand Theatre – Opera Composition Competition The Man from Manufaktura. On 5th January 2017, you shall hear four final entries qualified for the second stage of the competition, performed by the artists of the Lodz Grand Theatre and guest artist Małgorzata Walewska. It is up to you who shall proceed to the third stage of the competition. You can vote for the composer whose composition you liked the most.

Casting a vote will be possible during tonight’s concert and also on the Lodz Grand Theatre’s website. The voting starts tonight at 8:00 p.m. CLICK HERE. You can visit our website even on a daily basis because it is possible to cast one vote every 24 hours from one device. The voting will take place from 5th January till 29th January 2017 (midnight). In addition, from 20th till 29th January 2017 you will be able to cast a vote at the special Lodz Grand Theatre’s stand located in rotunda in the Manufaktura’s gallery. The results of the voting will be announced on 30th January 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
Two composers – one chosen by the audience and the other one named by the jury shall compose the full first act of the opera. The public performance of those compositions in a concert version shall take place on the stage of the Lodz Grand Theatre in September 2017. The Grand Prix winner shall be chosen by the jury.
