He graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Gdańsk under the guidance of Prof. Piotr Kusiewicz. He made his debut in 1996 as Ernesto in Gaetano Donizetti's opera "Don Pasquale" at the Baltic Opera. In 1993, he was the only Pole and the youngest participant to become a finalist in the Plácido Domingo International Vocal Competition in Paris. In 1997, on the occasion of the 1000th anniversary of the City of Gdańsk, he had the honor of performing at the Vatican in St. Peter's Basilica, participating in a concert conducted by Jerzy Katlewicz in the presence of Pope John Paul II.

 

He frequently performs and records. He received the award from the Gdańsk Society of Friends of Art for his outstanding achievements. He was a Yamaha scholarship holder. In 2000, he was nominated for the prestigious Fryderyk award for the recording of Stanisław Moniuszko's Canons.

 

He collaborates with theaters and philharmonics in Poland and abroad, appearing as Alfred in "La Traviata," Stefan in "The Haunted Manor," Pinkerton in "Madama Butterfly," Cavaradossi in "Tosca," Edwin in "The Gypsy Princess," Eisenstein in "Die Fledermaus," Pollione in "Norma," the Duke in "Rigoletto," Sandor Barinkay in "The Gypsy Baron," Don Ottavio in "Don Giovanni," Lensky in "Eugene Onegin," Jontek in "Halka," Narraboth in "Salome," Pierre in "Madame Curie" (a performance recorded and released on DVD by DUX). He portrayed Don Jose in "Carmen" and Wacław in "Maria."

 

In 2006, he took part in the world premiere of the mega-production titled "Ça Ira," created by Roger Waters (Pink Floyd). In the same year, his solo album "Polish Songs" was warmly received by critics and audiences, earning him a nomination for the 2006 Fryderyk Award. He has made numerous recordings for Polish Radio and Television. In 2010, he was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture. In 2016, he was honored with the 10th edition of the Jan Kiepura Musical Award for Best Singer. He also received the Personality of the Year 2015 title and statuette. He performs throughout Europe, as well as in Canada (Mississauga Living Arts Center), the USA (Chicago Symphony Center), and China.

 

In 2019, he was awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Musical Arts at his alma mater.
